United States Army Volunteers Reserve Commander’s message Ladies and Gentlemen, I am one of the many men who lost their country. When I came to the United States of America in 1975, I left everything from family, friends business, and home to places that can only be recalled from childhood memories. On the Day of 9/11 I was once again filled with strong emotion because I did not know what to do about what happened to us. Then I came out to Los Angeles looking for old friends from the former 5th Special Force (Chinese Nung Commando Mike Force), which fought for the freedom of Viet-Nam, to look for one more opportunity to serve the Country we live in. Initially we were organized in to the Chinese Nung Commando Mike Force Association and then soon formed the United States Army Volunteers Reserve (USAVR). The USAVR participates with the military funeral honors program in the National Cemetery for veterans who have served in defense of our country. With military funeral honors we express to families the utmost gratitude for those who have bravely served our nation. We are also train to respond to major disaster scenarios, assisting the police with maintaining security and medical emergencies for the past five years and counting. We encourage citizens who would like to give back to their country to join the United States Army Volunteers Reserve.
Respectfully, LTG,Si Sap Vong , National Commanding General .. |
